How our pricing works

We publish our planning fees, our per-night bands and our cancellation ladder on this page, in public, before you speak to anyone. Read it end to end in about six minutes.

The short version

You pay for the trip. The planning is the only thing we charge for separately.

Most Indian travel companies bury their margin inside a hotel rate you cannot verify. We do the opposite: a stated planning fee, a stated land cost, and every third-party charge passed through at cost with the invoice attached.

One number, itemised

Every quote arrives as a line-item PDF: room nights, transfers, experiences, taxes, our fee. If a line moves, we tell you before it moves.

No supplier kickback pricing

We do not accept undisclosed hotel commissions on Signature and Atelier trips. Where a commission exists, it is deducted from your invoice.

Rates held for 7 days

A written quote is honoured for seven calendar days. Airfare is the one exception — it is live inventory and we say so on the quote itself.

It is a land estimate, not a quote. In peak weeks — Christmas, Diwali, the May school break — expect 18% to 30% above these bands. In shoulder season we routinely come in under them, and we will say so rather than pocket the difference.

Bands exclude international airfare, visa fees, GST and TCS. Single occupancy typically adds 55% to 80% of the twin-share rate depending on the property.

This is the list our consultants are held to. If something in the left column ever appears as a surcharge on your invoice, we remove it and refund it.

Always in the price

  • Named hotels. The exact property, room category and bed type, never "3★ or similar".
  • All stated meals. Breakfast daily, plus every meal printed on the day-by-day itinerary.
  • Every transfer. Airport pickups, inter-city drives, ferry and train transfers, plus waiting time.
  • Listed experiences and entry tickets. Booked and paid in advance, in your name.
  • Driver allowances, tolls, parking and fuel. Never collected from you on the road.
  • Hotel taxes and city levies. Including tourist tax where it is legally payable at checkout.
  • Our service fee. Stated as its own line, not folded into a room rate.
  • Destination support. A human on the phone in IST hours, 24×7 on Signature and Atelier.
  • Currency risk absorbed. Once your deposit clears, we do not re-price on exchange-rate moves.

Charged separately, always itemised

  • International airfare. Live inventory; we hold a fare only once ticketed.
  • Embassy and consular fees. Passed through at cost with the official receipt attached.
  • Travel insurance premiums. Unless your tier includes cover, as Atelier does.
  • GST on the package. 5% on tour packages under current Indian law, shown as its own line.
  • TCS on foreign remittance. Collected on your PAN and fully creditable in your tax return.
  • Meals not listed. Lunches and dinners left deliberately free so you can wander.
  • Anything marked optional. Balloon rides, seaplanes, spa treatments, private dining.
  • Personal expenses. Minibar, laundry, room service, tips beyond the driver allowance.
  • Excess baggage and seat selection. Airline charges we cannot absorb.

Visa assistance

Document checklist, form filling, appointment booking, cover letter drafting and courier tracking. Embassy fees are extra and passed through at cost. Our approval rate across all destinations is 98.4%.

Travel insurance

From₹1,450per week

Schengen-compliant cover with USD 50,000 medical, trip cancellation, baggage delay and adventure-sports riders. Travellers over 70 and pre-existing conditions are quoted individually.

Airport transfers

From₹2,200per vehicle, each way

Private sedan, SUV or minivan with a named driver, live flight tracking and 90 minutes of free waiting on international arrivals. Included by default on Signature and Atelier.

Private guide

From₹6,800per day, per group

A licensed, English-speaking local historian or naturalist for a full day, including their entry tickets and transport. Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi and Bengali speakers available in most cities.

Travel photographer

From₹18,500per half-day shoot

Three hours with a local photographer, 60 edited images delivered within ten days. Popular for honeymoons in Santorini, Bali and Udaipur, and for milestone anniversaries.

Airport lounge access

From₹1,900per person, per visit

Pre-booked lounge entry at Indian and most international hubs, with food, showers and Wi-Fi. Worth it on a 5 a.m. departure or a long layover with children.

Money, plainly

Payment terms

One deposit, one balance, and two statutory charges we collect on the government's behalf. Nothing else touches your card.

  1. Step one

    25% booking deposit

    A quarter of the land cost confirms the booking and locks your hotel inventory. On Signature, your ₹4,999 planning fee is deducted from this amount. The deposit is what makes hotels hold rooms in your name, so until it clears nothing is guaranteed.

  2. Step two

    Interim instalment at 60 days

    On trips over ₹3,00,000 we split the balance: 40% falls due 60 days before departure, which is when most overseas suppliers want their money. Below that threshold this step is skipped entirely and you simply pay the balance.

  3. Step three

    Balance due 21 days before departure

    The remainder must clear 21 days ahead. Final vouchers, hotel confirmations, guide contacts and your digital travel wallet are released within 24 hours of that payment. Bookings made inside 21 days are payable in full at confirmation.

  4. Step four

    Statutory charges on the invoice

    GST on tour packages is levied at 5% without input credit, applied to the package value. TCS on foreign remittance under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme is collected at 5% on overseas tour packages above the annual threshold, against your PAN — it is not our fee, and you claim it back in your income tax return.

  • UPI — no processing charge, up to your bank's daily limit.
  • Net banking — all major Indian banks, no processing charge.
  • Debit and credit cards — Visa, Mastercard, RuPay and Amex; a 1.9% gateway charge applies on credit cards and is shown before you confirm.
  • No-cost EMI — 3, 6 and 9 months on cards from 14 partner banks for bookings above ₹50,000.
  • NEFT / RTGS — to our current account, for corporate and large family bookings.
  • Never in cash to a consultant. Every rupee goes to the company account against a GST invoice.

A worked example

Two travellers, seven nights in Vietnam at the Premium band, with private transport. Land cost ₹2,11,000. Deposit at booking ₹52,750. Balance at 21 days ₹1,58,250. GST at 5% ₹10,550. TCS, if applicable, ₹10,550 — creditable in your return. Airfare quoted separately at the fare live on the day of ticketing.

If plans change

Cancellation and refund policy

Charges are calculated on the total land cost of the booking and counted from the date we receive your cancellation in writing. Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 to 14 working days.

Airline tickets follow the fare rules of the ticket issued and sit outside this table. Peak-date bookings over New Year and Christmas, cruise cabins, and non-refundable hotel rates carry supplier terms which we state in writing before you pay.

Pricing questions

Everything else about the money

For visas, flights, on-trip support and bespoke planning, our full FAQ goes considerably deeper.

Because the alternative is worse. Agencies that plan "for free" recover the cost through undisclosed hotel commissions, which quietly pushes you towards the property that pays best rather than the one that suits you. A stated fee lets our designers recommend the smaller guesthouse over the chain resort without losing money on you.

The fee buys designer hours, so it is not refundable once we have delivered your first itinerary — but it is credited in full against the trip on Signature, and half on Atelier, the moment you confirm. If your visa is refused on a first application, we waive the fee entirely and refund it. If you simply change your mind before we have sent anything, we refund it in full.

No, not for exchange rates, fuel costs or supplier increases — we carry that risk once your deposit clears. The only things that can change your total are changes you request, a government tax revision, or an airline reissuing a ticket at your instruction. Each of those is quoted in writing and needs your approval before it is applied.

Tax Collected at Source is not our charge — it is an advance income tax the government requires us to collect on overseas tour packages, against your PAN. It appears as its own line on your invoice and in Form 26AS. You claim it back as a credit when you file your return, or adjust it against your advance tax. We issue the TCS certificate within 45 days of the quarter end without you having to ask.

Yes, because hotels price a room, not a bed. A solo traveller typically pays 55% to 80% above the twin-share rate depending on the property and season. On fixed departures we will try to match you with another solo traveller of the same gender to remove the supplement entirely, and we tell you by the 45-day mark whether that has worked.

A written quote from another IATA-accredited Indian agency for the identical trip: same hotels, same room categories, same dates, same meal plan and the same inclusions. Send it within seven days of receiving ours and we will match it, or explain in writing exactly which line item differs. We do not match quotes that hide their inclusions or that rely on non-refundable rates we would not recommend.

Yes. Bookings above ₹50,000 qualify for no-cost EMI over 3, 6 or 9 months on cards from 14 partner banks; the bank's terms apply and we absorb the interest. Separately, trips over ₹3,00,000 are automatically split into a 25% deposit, a 40% instalment at 60 days and the balance at 21 days, at no extra cost. Tell your consultant which structure suits your cash flow.

If we cancel a fixed departure for lack of numbers, we tell you at least 30 days ahead and you choose: a full refund including the planning fee, a transfer to another date, or a private version of the same itinerary at a quoted difference. If a trip becomes impossible because of a government advisory or a natural event, we refund everything we have not irrecoverably paid to suppliers and pursue the rest on your behalf at no charge.
